OMA Audio

In addition to overseeing the design and production of the lighting collection David D’Imperio has accepted design commissions in other fields.

David D’Imperio has provided product designs for the audio company OMA since its inception. His visually distinctive designs for loudspeakers have been applauded worldwide. There has been a continuity between his designs for illumination and these sonic products. The connection between the Ozone light and the Ironic speaker is one example. However, the aluminum Ozone weighs a mere 6 pounds and the Ironic is 400 pounds of cast iron!

ARCHITECTURE

D’Imperio was commissioned to design two Miami houses to be built on adjoining lots. Designed with a nod to the Miami masonry vernacular style, each home is composed of three volumes surrounding a pool. The volumes alternate in height and surface finish, with each one providing access to the pool.
